PHILIP HANBY LL.B  F.C.I. Arb
Phil qualified in 1974 and became a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators in 1995. He has worked in private practice for 30 years following short spells in Local Government and prosecuting for the Police. He acquired the practice in January 2009. Phil specialises in civil litigation generally to include contract disputes, debt collection, employment and landlord and tenant matters. His hobbies are soccer, golf, shooting and real ale.

Samantha qualified in 1997 and specialises in all areas of Family Law including Public and Private Law, Children Act proceedings, Divorce, Ancillary Relief and Domestic Violence. Both private and Legal Aid work is undertaken and appointments can be made at both our Gainsborough and Lincoln offices.

GRAHAM BEMBRIDGE F.Inst.L.Ex and a Licensed Conveyancer
Graham was educated at the Queen Elizabeth Grammar School, Gainsborough and is married with two adult children. A well known local sportsman having played local league football for over 30 years, he is now a keen golfer and is a member at The Gainsborough Golf Club. Graham is mainly involved in Property work including both residential and commercial conveyancing. He also deals with Probate and Wills and looking after elderly clients affairs.

Qualified as a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives in October 1996. Philip has worked for Andrew Jay & Co since April 1992 during which time he has seen the firm go from strength to strength. Philip specialises in all aspects of Family Law and also deals with personal injury claims. He has a daughter who takes up a lot of his spare time and is also a Governor at Yarborough School in Lincoln.

ROISIN McCAFFREY - Solicitor / Higher Rights Advocate – Head of Crime
Roisin is the Head of Crime at Andrew Jay & Co. She attended at the University of Dublin where she obtained a Law Degree. She subsequently qualified as a Solicitor in 1991, having trained with a firm in Belfast who specialised in criminal law. She has practised as a Specialist Criminal Defence Solicitor in Lincoln for the past 20 years and has built up a reputation as a very capable advocate during that time. Roisin obtained her Higher Courts qualification in 2007, which now enables her to represent clients at the Crown Court as well as the Magistrates Court.

LLOYD EDWARDS - Solicitor / Higher Rights Advocate
Lloyd qualified as a Solicitor in 1987. He has worked with a variety of firms within the Lincolnshire area and joined Andrew Jay & Co about three years ago. He specialises in criminal defence work and has represented people at virtually every Police Station and Magistrates Court in Lincolnshire. He is vastly experience and adopts a friendly approach to clients. Lloyd obtained his Higher Courts qualification in 2010 and now regularly appears to represent clients in the Crown Court.

TONY CUNNINGHAM - Solicitor
Tony Cunningham is one of those few people who has been highly successful in two different careers. He was a professional footballer for 15 years, playing for a large number of league clubs including Newcastle, Manchester City, Sheffield Wednesday and Lincoln City. He then qualified as a Solicitor in 1999 and has worked in Lincoln since that time, appearing regularly before Lincolnshire courts and Police Stations. He has bought the same traits of professionalism, determination and desire that he demonstrated on the football pitch to the legal profession. He is a hugely experienced Solicitor who maintains a fierce dedication to protecting his clients.

NICK WISE LL.B (Hons) – Solicitor
Nick qualified as a Solicitor in January 1972.  Between January 1972 and December 1973, Nick was an Assistant Solicitor in general practice.  From January 1974 to March 1978, he was an Assistant Advocate with a firm of lawyers in Nairobi, Kenya.  From December 1978 to May 1983, he was a Prosecuting Solicitor with Lincolnshire County Council.  From May 1983 to August 2002, he was a self-employed Criminal Law Specialist.  From August 2002 to July 2010, Nick worked as a Criminal Advocate with Dale & Co Solicitors in Lincoln. He is married and enjoys music.

LAURA TAYLOR - Solicitor
Laura graduated with honours in 2004 after completing a degree at Lancaster and then the University of Copenhagen. She qualified as a Solicitor in April 2009 and specialises in Family and Matrimonial law including contact and financial matters. She regularly assists clients experiencing domestic violence and is available for appointments at both our Gainsborough and Lincoln offices. She’s a member of “Resolution”, a group of solicitors who work towards dealing with matters in a non-confrontational and productive way. She’s also the Vice-Chair of West Lindsey Women’s Aid holding legal surgeries at both Lincoln Women’s Aid and Gainsborough North Marsh Nursery School. She is a regular at the gym unless she can find any excuse not to go!

WARWICK TAYLOR
Warwick’s first job was working for a large law firm in Manchester before moving to Lincolnshire some 8 years ago. In 2005 he successfully passed the Police station accreditation process. This enables him to attend people detained by the Police and advise them of their rights at any time of the day or night.

In 2006 Warwick joined Andrew Jay & Co. As their accredited Police station and Crown Court representative, he deals with a variety of cases from the straight forward to the very complex.

His interests outside his work are going to the gym, ninjutsu and spending time with his family.
