Nichola joined the team in December 2020 having over 17 years’ experience in dealing with Children/Family cases.
Nichola has experience of representing parents in cases involving the Local Authority and Private Law disputes between parents and also immediate family members. Nichola has successfully represented Grandparents on applications for Special Guardianship orders and continues to provide this service.
Nichola has dealt with many High Court complex cases and continues to thrive on putting the best case forward for her clients.
Nichola undertakes her own advocacy within the County Court and Magistrates Court, Nichola tries to ensure continuity for her clients as much as possible.
Nichola has expertise and a passion for representing clients in Domestic Abuse cases and has a vast knowledge of this area of law, Nichola has dealt with some very complex cases where it has been necessary to make out of County applications to ensure the protection of her clients and their children.

Lloyd joined Andrew Jay & Co in March 2007 having previously worked with a variety of firms within the Lincolnshire area. He specialises in criminal defence work and has represented people at virtually every Police Station and Magistrates Court in Lincolnshire. He is vastly experienced and adopts a friendly approach to clients. Lloyd obtained his Higher Courts qualification in 2010 and now regularly appears to represent clients in the Crown Court.
Mark qualified as a solicitor in 2004, joined Andrew Jay & Co in September 2016 and became a Director of the Firm in February 2020. in October 2020 he purchased the business and is now the Principal. He is a Higher Court Advocate and as such he can represent clients from the police station through to the Supreme Court. He has a wealth of experience in regard to all criminal offences and an enviable reputation as a passionate and persuasive advocate. His record for helping drivers retain their licences is second to none.
Prior to joining Andrew Jay & Co Mark previously worked with a variety of firms within the local area.
Mark was a key member of the save Lincoln Prison campaign and was invited to Westminster to address government ministers against its closure.
When not at work Mark spends his time with his three young children. Before studying law he graduated with a biomedical science degree.
Matt joined Andrew Jay & Co’s Criminal Department in March 2009 as the Lincoln office receptionist, having previously worked in a completely different sector. He has progressed throughout his time at the firm and qualified as an Accredited Police Station Representative in October 2014. Continuing his studies Matt became a fully qualified Chartered Legal Executive Advocate in July 2019 and can now represent clients at the Magistrates' Court and the Police Station.
In his spare time, Matt enjoys travelling, running, skiing, looking after animals and keeping up with the latest technology.
Gemma joined Andrew Jay & Co’s Criminal Department in June 2014 as an Accredited Police Station Representative and Crown Court Clerk. An Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives Gemma qualified as a Police Station Representative in October 2008 having previously been a Crown Court Clerk. She has represented people at the police station for all types of offences ranging from theft to murder.
